The New Jersey Black Empowerment Coalition seeks to bring about equity of opportunity for Black people in New Jersey by educating Black people and the broader public about public policy issues related to racial injustice, as well as educating people about the importance of voter empowerment in order to achieve sustainable change.
Black people in New Jersey face incredible disparities in wealth, criminal justice, educational opportunity, housing, healthcare, and many other areas. NJBEC exists to generate the policy change that people of color deserve in a state with the kind of racial inequities that we Black New Jerseyans face.
